Get fully immersed into Rwandan culture through language and cooking lessons, visits to local shops, sightseeing and even relaxing at the beach! This program offers the opportunity to get off-the-beaten track in Rwanda through visits to sites that would not normally appear in guidebooks. You will get the chance to learn the basics of the language as well as partake in a cooking class and learn about the culture.
Assist staff at a local preschool providing quality education for community children. Help local staff with managing the classrooms and providing educational activities in English to some of the community’s youngest learners.
In many of Rwanda’s rural and underdeveloped areas, there are many families living with the very basics. Often, families lack the financial means to support their children with education, including secondary and higher education. Due to their educational background, many inhabitants of these areas never get the chance to pursue a career.
Get your hands dirty and work in an organic farm or in the gardens of the villagers to grown organic vegetables. This program will get you working in farms by planting, watering, cleaning and harvesting different crops in order to support organic living in the village of Nezerwa. Moreover, we will also work in the villager’s gardens in order for them to learn how to grow their own food.
