Joining our program in South Korea provides a unique & worthwhile experience and is a great way to gain new experiences and skill sets while learning about the local culture and people in South Korea. The programs are located in Daegu, a vibrant city that is home to more than 2.4 million residents. It is located in the North Gyeongsang Province of South Korea and is positioned between the capital, Seoul, and Busan.

For our programs in South Korea you need to arrive on the Sunday before the start date of the program at TAE (Daegu International Airport) at 10:00 to16:00. You will be picked up from the airport and taken to your accommodation. You can join the program from 1 to 4 weeks. Departure day is Saturday of your last week.

- Volunteers need to be 18 years or over to participate.
- You need to have your own travel insurance in order to join the program.
- As this is a cross-cultural program it is important to be flexible and open to local customs and traditions.

Accommodation & Melas
There are three meals included from Monday to Friday and two meals during the weekend.
The volunteer accommodation in Samraong is based on single gender rooms.

There are different projects available in South Korea. You can build your own program on the application form where you can choose which project you want to join and you can also combine different projects and create your own volunteer program!

This program is an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the local area, explore trendy shopping locations, visit local museums, temples and attractions and even try your own hand at cooking a typical Korean meal. After School Project
Wouldn’t it be nice to spend your afternoons with local village children. You can help them with their homework, engage them in physical activities like sports, play games, sing songs, and teach them English! The possibilities are way too many to mention, but the opportunity to be a positive influence on the younger generation is just too incredible to miss!

You will spend your week in an authentic monastic environment, where you will learn about Buddhist practices, history and culture. You will spend your day actively engaged in meditation, chanting, and even intentional silence, as your encounter is guided by local Korean monks performing daily acts in accordance with their Zen tradition.

Fill out the Application Form. We will process your application and let you know if your application was successful within 24 hours.
Pay your deposit to reserve you place in the program. You can pay the deposit in these currencies: £95, US$135, AU$185 or €125.
Pay the remaining fees, minus the deposit which you already paid, six weeks before your start date of your program.
